What is Show Me State Air Show's Mission?
The Show Me State Air Show is a weekend-long event celebrating current and former military members. Our mission is to give Central Missouri an opportunity to enjoy aerial demonstrations and ground displays of military and civilian aircraft and to inspire youth to explore STEM careers. We strive to provide a positive, educational, family-friendly experience for all attendees.
Where is the air show located?
The event takes place at Jefferson City Memorial Airport: 500 Airport Rd, Jefferson City, MO 65101
What are the event times?
●Gates open at 10:00 AM, explore aircraft displays, food/Merchandise vendors, car show, and Kids Zone
●Aerial demonstrations begin at Noon (12pm)
●Event concludes at approximately 2:00 PM
How much are tickets?
●$10 per adult (ages 11 and up)
●$5 per children (ages 5–10)
●Children 4 & under FREE
●FREE for current and former military (with proof of service)
What if it rains? Is there a rain date?
The event is rain or shine. In the case of severe weather or low clouds, some flight performances may be modified or delayed. Display aircraft attendance may also be affected, but the show will go on.
Is there event parking?
Yes! Parking will be available in several designated lots near the airport. A parking map and shuttle details will be shared on our website and Facebook page closer to the event.
What should I bring to the event?
We recommend bringing:
- Folding chairs or blankets (no seating is provided, you may bring your own or rent a chair on-site)
- Cameras, sunscreen, hats
- Small umbrellas (non-obstructive)
- Baby strollers and diaper bags (subject to search)
- Veterans and their guest will have access to a shaded seating area
What items are not allowed?
Please do not bring:
- Coolers, glass containers, pop-up tents, or large umbrellas
- Firearms, toy weapons, fireworks, lasers, or water guns
- Pets (except approved service animals)
- Scooters, skateboards, bikes, or personal motorized vehicles
- Unauthorized vending, giveaways, or solicitations
- Drones or remote-controlled aircraft
(Federal flight restriction are in effect. Drone violations may result in fines up to $230,000 and equipment confiscation.)
Are pets allowed?
No. For the safety of all guests, only legally documented service animals are allowed on event grounds. Handlers must be able to provide proof of service animal status upon request, or they will be asked to remove the animal.
Are there activities for children?
Yes! The show features a Kids Zone with bounce houses, booths with lots of hands-on activities, and more. All included with admission.
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Most of the event (including parking areas and aircraft displays) is on paved surfaces and accessible. However, please note that the vendor booths and Kids Zone are located on grass and may be more difficult to navigate for some guests.
Will there be a static display?
Absolutely! A wide variety of civilian and military aircraft will be parked around the tarmac for walk-around viewing, photos, and exploration. You can also enjoy vintage military vehicles and classic cars on display.
Where can I find an air show schedule?
For security reasons, specific act times are not published. Aerial performances start at noon and run for approximately two hours. All acts are subject to change.
Will the event be live streamed?
No. There is no official livestream. Please avoid third-party links or scams claiming to stream the event.
Can I fly my personal plane to the event?
